Perugia 1416
Perugia 1416

The project Perugia 1416 will take place in its first edition on Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12th of June 2016.

It is a historical re-enactment, centred on the passing period of Perugia between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance; it is organised in collaboration with the University of Perugia, the Academy of Fine Arts, the Music Conservatorium, the State Archive with the aim of renewing the social fabric of the city, to reintroduce traditional arts and crafts, to recover cultural links and the dialogue between the city and its territory.

Its main targets are tourism, artistic handicrafts and food and wine products, new job and business opportunities, also temporary, mainly for the younger generations, today particularly suffering.

The development of the project will be organised in three layers: the first, historical and scientific, the second museum and territorial, and a more spectacular one, evocative and informative.
